Subject: Uhhh....soooo sick
If you do not like this, then it is likely that you do not like anything...in the world.
Music should not be allowed to be this super sic because it makes all other aspects of life seem trite and mundane.
Subject: Instrumental Kimock?
Did Zero ever go through any strictly instrumental phases? I know kvhw was at one point purely instrumental, does anyone know the exact dates?
Subject: A+
Subject: Spectacular Show!
Subject: Top Notch-Top Notch
I got to see this band in late October and was blown away. IMO the best Kimock has sounded and the best supporting cast/sound. KVHW was terrific but this group simply astounds. Get it NOW!!

Subject: This is an epic show
Subject: Could someone please pick up my jaw?
Subject: amazed
I've seen the last incarnation of SKB a handfull of times, and was always thoroughly impressed at the end of the night, but just listening to this show over the internet has me extremely excited about catching the new line up next weekend!
I haven't been this excited about a show in years... maybe longer!
Thanks to Steve and his crew for getting this matrix out for the masses. This will be the show I use to introduce my "less than enlightened" friends in the future.
Subject: WOW! Very nice
Subject: High & Lonesome
Subject: omfg
Sound quality is just about perfect. This new lineup has such a super sound - absolutely lovin it. Gotta go out and get me some tickets!!!
Thanks Charlie, you are the balls - Thanks Steve
Subject: GREAT SHOW! GREAT RECORDING!
Subject: Wonderfully
Subject: Very good show
Subject: SMOKIN'!!!!!
Damn...they are at it again! These four guys play better together than anyone out there right now. And this show is just smokin'!!! Being a Kimock freak, this show gets a 5 for both playing and sound quality.
This may be the best High & Lonesome I have ever heard. Steve's second solo during the jam part is f-ing amazing! I was supposed to be at this show but had to back out b/c my wife was too close to her due date with our second son. So I will be forever grateful for this recording. Thank you so much Charlie. Thank you archive. I LOVE this site!!!!!
Revised, 10/6/05:
Now that I have had time to listen to the entire show with close attention, I am going to make a bold statement: This may be my favorite SKB show to date...period! This is such a BOLD statement b/c none of my favorite SKB staples were played at this show. No Cole's>Tangled, Up To You, or Tongue 'n' Groove...but it does not matter. This IS my favorite version of the Funky Meter's hit "Cissy Strut." Damn, Robert rips this one apart. Eudemon is turning into a beautiful tune...some of Steve's best pedal steel playing on this one. And this version is HUGE! Glad is always nice...since they debuted it at the same venue back on 3/16/05, it has been a treat...such a tight groove. Twinstar is ....uhh, GORGEOUS! Bronx always seems to blow me away. Thing One has always been in my top 5 favorites...and this one is short, but very solid. I was hoping Steve was gonna give us one of his monster envelope filter-octave divider solos (like he did in the matinee opener at George's on 10/29/04)...he hints at it towards the end...but they slip back into the refrain section to end the tune up. Still magical. Then comes Cissy...incredible! Elmer's is not my favorite at all, but this one is solid and I seemed to be more patient with it. Kickin' Up Dust (Robert's tune?) is the funkiest tune on the setlist...and it just simply makes you want to boogie. Malichi...oh Malichi...what a f-ing brilliant tune...one of Steve's most crafted tunes since IU2U. This has moved into my top 5 over the last year and a half. And this Granada one is stellar. Such perfect tune.
This show will be a regular in my rotation for a long while! So if you like crystal clear guitar, "blow your mind away" drums, and funky bass and keys...do yourself a favor and get this show right now. IMO, SKB is on a different level than any band out there right now. I LOVE this band!!!!
Subject: Best Kimock Band so far, good sound quality
Subject: anyone else having difficulty problems with d2t5 and d2t2?
EDIT 10/9/05: Sorry to deviate from the iagkhb banter, but is anyone actually listening to this show instead of remembering what a heady time they had in Dallas? skb has gone from being in a rut to falling into a gutter. This show is an incoherent mess. It doesn't even sound like kimock and the keyboard player are playing the same song. The jams go nowhere because Walter and Kimock are barely in the same book, much less on the same page. Walter either needs to rehearse more or hit the road. I hope skb gets better b/c this new lineup sure is a step down from the last couple years of kimock's band.

Subject: Really nice
Never listened to SKB before, and am glad this is the first show I downloaded. Firstly, the sound is impeccable, a really great recording with just enough audience coming through in just the right places.
Secondly, this is some of the nicest music I've listened to in a long time. It is just really pleasant and beautiful, and inspired at times. Steve Kimock is a very tasteful and talented guitarist, I don't know how else to put it. Love his tone. And of course Robert Walters and the other band mates play their parts just as well, with some really graceful interaction going on between everyone.
Personally, I thought Glad, Elmer's Revenge, and Malachi were highlights. This show is a real treat all around. Do yourself a favor and downaload it, grab a beer, and pop it in the stereo for a great listening experience.

free lyrics in the house!
its been one of those years as the struggling artist in me searches deep and wide for just some tranquility....much love and peace to all of my beautiful relatives and relations of life and peace...much wishes of great times and years to come....here's a poem for all of you. pass it on.
this moment
again mind asks yells hollers for air
clarity-sanity-a moment of
tranquility please
the pile of consciousness is too much
so much to feel
oh the neurons fire efficiently
i'm burning, steaming down a mountain
of mental neurotic ecstasy ahhh
that trancendental elemental feeling
setting my spirit free
this moment
oh please help me as my body
reaches that second of extremes
should i feel more than i used to be
dare i reach the emotional rainbow & set
the dashing glowing blissful peace junky colors free
oh the angel's dancing near
magenta jism flying in one ear out the
toe as it stops at every artery to wink and
tickle some energy color juicy
onto me ahh....
this moment
decades of centuries building
just so a pawn could feel
in this instant free
dare i swim in the majestic purple haze
pink wind dream of the endless beings
oh the matter of actions and excistence
within millions of spirits creating before
me, how the pool i swim in runs deep
full lovingly cool before even words where
born again as the moment dares
to set me free
in the moment when Dali's oxygen
becomes me
i scent the paint pain
color too rich for canvas
that you and i call reality
no....it cant be
that my mind
my spirit
even body cant co-excist
it cant be
possible to set
the notion of one power
free
i'm trapped in the endless
cycle of life love God
and beauty of the wheel
therefore
i feel like i fell
in that deep well
full of quick...sand
the hourglass of time
i call endless life
i feel like i cant tell
the difference beetwen
Chopin's vibrating piano string
i'm e flat or the best ever played c
in history
action
reaction
vibrating
hysteria
of
macrocosm
minimilizing my energy
into a puddle of samadhi
nirvana comes with the wind
gently nourishing blowind sand
polishing endlessly this giant
ferris wheel of co-creational life
it doesnt get any better than this
i think......it cant be anymore than this cosmic
spaceship of funky toe jam of the
eternal soul of wo-man-God-kind gently breathing
into the deep blue sky of mind
oh this moment
traps my eternal spirit as a sprocket
a wingnut a washer a buffer
of a color wheel driving
my endless soul love free
oh ahh this moment...this feeling thought
is how much i love and feel
all of you are even more
than the present
we are time
we are one
we are love
we are you
we are fire
we are me
we are every-thing
beautiful
everything thats here
.......love is eternal and so are you all... therfore my most respect admiration recognition and future honor goes out to everysingle pore and molecule you call your own
i love you, happy days and may your wildest dreams come true
ahhhh men
ahhhhh women
ahhhhhh love
ahhhhhhh you.
